Wow. I wonder what can be said about the monstrosity that has been the Bush presidency. The casting is … interesting.
Thanks for finding it.
Digg it here:

Mmm love Scott Glenn. could be tasty.
oh this is gonna be go-ood. Thanks for the news bright & early Monday morning (here anyway)!
ack! wasn’t real life enough?
Thanks John - this trailer for “W” brightened an otherwise cool & foggy morning on the California coast. The casting looks oh so promising! ;~)
I thought they already made this movie. Wasn’t it called “Downfall”?
hey npb. long time no see
They definitely already made a movie about Traitor Joe and his likely speech at the Repub Convention:

Zellbound: Zellraiser II. Traitor Joe…whatta Pinhead!
Josh “Whup your ass in a bar brawl” Brolin? That Josh Brolin?
Hi newspaperbrat - it’s overcast here too, but then again I’m just a few miles north of you…
Gawd! Just the trailer made me want to retch!
I think I’ll skip this one…
If this movie shows W in an unflattering light, and if shines a light on the evil nature of the administration, then I think it’s an important movie. It will speak to a wider audience than we ever could speak to here.

email me npbrat AT gmail DOT com so we can catch up. ;~)
omg. my reaction also. once is enuf.
but yeah, the trailer got a chuckle along with the grimace.
Loved the clip! Might actually like to see the movie, if I can stomach watching it.
Did anyone see MTP yesterday when Brokaw interviewed Obama and confronted him with David Brooks’ article critical of him and his trip? The exchange went like this:
Not only did he take the steam out of Brokaw trying that “gotcha” crap, he exercised that smile of his perfectly as he did it. Even Brokaw’s feigned impatience and prompting that Obama should “get to the point” didn’t take away from the fact that Obama took the upper hand in the exchange. This is something that just would have made Bush pissy and out-of-sorts and sarcastic. He would have been visibly upset by the challenge, whereas to Obama, this was as easy as sinking that three pointer on the basketball court on his trip. We need this, not McClone.
Brokaw isn’t very good at gotcha.
In fact, he should go back into retirement.
A serial called the NBC Nightly News
Off Topic:
i had not realized that actor Jon Voight was such a fascist whore:
http://www.washingtontimes.com.....28/voight/
i guess everyone already knew this except me.
I was skeptical (to say the least) about Brolin as Bush until I saw his “No Country” performance. From what I just saw in this trailer, he’s got Bush nailed from a physical/movement standpoint. I’ll go see it just for the acting lesson, but, as someone who was living in Austin when he was elected, reserve the right to weep uncontrollably upon recollection of Bush’s ridiculous ascent to the Presidency.
Uh,is Voight a Moonie, too? Why anybody (although lately, Voight hardly qualifies as somebody) legitimizes that Moon-owned rag is beyond me.
i would like to think this validates his daughter’s rejection of him.
but i am prejudice in her favor anyway.
Scott Glenn as Rumsfeld? Can it be worse than Nicole Kidman as Valerie Plame?
I don’t see her as an actress that can carry it off. Maybe someone knows something about her that I don’t.
Re: Voight. Any dope who does what he did to his daughter has to be a Republican. His stupidity is embarrassing to say the least.
Uh this clip makes me sick. Laura Bush looks about 20 years younger than the original too. But that’s not what’s making me sick. Guh! Hollywood.
This clip is so mesmerizingly bad, I am riveted. Why did they get a 20-year old to play Tony Blair? Maybe they should have got a five year old to play Chimpy.
