Obviously, this is no surprise. But it still should be a boost for Obama. Interesting choice of venue too, in the belly of the beast so to speak, or Michigan, where Gore's environmental record wasn't all that popular in the past. In this way, it is good strategy, as it sends a message that Obama is obviously trying to send (in contrast to McCain and his lobbyist-run campaign)--he is not going to genuflect before special interests as president.
