Word is that John McCain has three potentials coming to AZ (which house do you think?--so many choices) to meet with him: Governor Charlie Crist of Florida, Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and Mitt Romney.

I will say this right now. It will be Romney in the end. Romney is beloved by the corporate wing of the party, that doesn't like McCain much, and he has made huge inroads into the religious right by selling out every core belief, like when he was "to the left of Teddy Kennedy on gay rights" and staunchly "in favor or Roe V. Wade. That was the old Romney. Add in the good hair, handsome family, youngish looks and willingness to spend his own fortune, which McCain needs, and you've got a winner!

Jindal is like 16 years old and could technically be McCain's grandson (actually, he is really 37, a bit young for VP--I just think they needed a minority and it is hard to find those in the Republican Party these days) and Crist, well, let's just say there have been some pretty prevalent rumors around Florida about him, ones which make me think this one is dead in the water.

As for Obama, no word yet on names, just that he is beginning the process. Although, I'd bet that the names Jim Webb, Ted Strickland, Kathleen Sebelius, Wes Clark, Bill Richardson and Brian Schweitzer come up a lot.
