As the media begins to scrutinize McCain's record, there will be more days like today. I know. My book, The Real McCain, is full of McCain flip-flops, disingenuous statements and other smoke and mirrors employed by a supposed "straight-talker."
Not surprisingly, to cap off a day when we found out McCain did favors for a land developer pal, embraced an extremist organization he denounced the last time he ran for president (the NRA) and once wanted to negotiate with Hamas (even though now he'll never talk to any enemy and call Barack Obama "naive" for thinking that diplomacy thing should ever be employed), we now find out he also once believed in talks with Syria even as he admitted they were sponsoring terrorists. A country that we pointed out a few days ago his advisor Jim Woolsey wants to preemptively bomb.
A glimpse of The Real McCain.

McBush IS two faced, but he was right the first time both times. Hamas was elected, we need to talk with them. Assad is in charge of Syria and has his hooks everywhere so we need to talk with him. Ditto Iran, Cuba, North Korea, all of them.
It doesn’t hurt to talk, doesn’t cost anything and doesn’t require either side to kiss the others butt. This massive international pissing contest isn’t getting anybody anywhere and it long ago ceased being amusing.
